Stainless Steel

Austenitic Stainless Steels, like St St 304, and especially St St 316, having high content of Nickel and Chrome, are considered relatively easy for electropolishing, thanks to good chemical “cooperation” between components of these alloys and anode treatment electrolytes.
Martensitic Stainless Steels, and especially hardened steels containing amount of metalloid which cannot be neglected, are “hard nuts to crack” for Electropolish, as well as for Passivation, and need special approach both in course of the process development, and during current production.
Finish Line is well experienced in long time supply of its Passivation, Bright Passivation, Electropolish and Etching service to customers, for a wide range of items, from Electro-polish of tens per day of 12 kg 300 mm St St 316 precisious valve for water treatment 026, to Bright Passivation of tens thousands per day of 50 gr 20 mm St St 420 connecting accessories (view image). See as well samples of electropolished parts made of Austenitic Stainless Steels (view gallery items: pic.1—4) and electropolished parts made of Martensitic Stainless Steels (view gallery items: pic.5—8).
While supplying Anode Treatment services for Stainless Steel parts, Finish Line ensures high performance of surface qualities as demanded by appropriate Standards. Besides, we provide solutions for specific customers’ tasks, like microns toleransed diameter control for dental drills, edge sharpening for medical tube probe, high degree reflection for fire sensor 030, etc. For such purposes focused researches has been planned and carried out.

Anode Treatment

Anode treatment beneficiates metal surface through metal dissolving and oxidation. In case no coating is allowed, Anode Treatment is a way to enhance your parts’ surface qualities. more >>

Passivation

Passivation is a classic anode treatment to improve corrosion resistance of metals, comparing to not treated parts, through completing natural formation of metal oxides surface layer. more >>

Bright Passivation

Bright Passivation improves corrosion resistance of metals, comparing to not treated parts, removes spots from previous processing and provides the parts with brighter appearance. more >>

Etching

Etching is an old craft which technically comprises a vigorous anode treatment process, widely exploited in industry. Etching metal surface as a whole makes it uniformly rough and porous more >>

Color Anodizing

Color Anodizing is a unique Titanium only applied process granting to metal surface a wide spectrum of controllable vivid interference colors, which are stable, uniform and repeatable more >>

Surface preparation

Surface preparation ensures the after Anode Treatment surface features as aimed. It includes both quality improving (like de-burring) and surface beneficiation (like surface roughening) more >>

Surface cleaning

Surface Cleaning is an essential completing operation after any Anode Treatment intended washing the surface from leftovers of previous treatment, using purified water at the end step more >>

Clean Room Packing

Packing in Clean Room class 1000 with laminar cameras class 100 allows us to implement packaging procedure for customers’ products having the highest cleanness requirements more >>
