The basic quality requirements for metal parts of Optic & Electrionic devices are aestetic appearance, smooth not defected surface and increased corrosion resistanse. Relatively loose dimension and tolerance demands are usualy defined. All these “simple” requirements are well achievable by Finish Line Electropolishing Processes.

Complicated cases of metal parts for Optics involved demands of high reflectivity and, espesially, a light beam free running and reflecting inside narrow inner channels of an optic device.
High reflection characteristics of electropolished surface may be easily reached, when the surface after machining is of acceptable smoothness, and a proper Electropolishing Process is chosen, subject to a metal the part made of. In one such case we run a long period lasted commercially aimed process with production rate of thousands units per day, for a range of optical reflectors sized from 5 to 100 mm.

In other case, we have faced a necessity of burrs removing and surface clearing inside geometrically complicated narrow parting inner channel, to enable light beam’s proper functioning. The task was solved through implementatiom of a many staged Electropolishing process.

In some special case, when a surface clearing was requested for a battery of tens inner optic channels, while requirements for low surface roghness was tough as well, the aimed quality parameters were achieved using special electrolyte, through many staged sequence of thorough controlled electropolishing process.
